Humberto Ballestero’s second collection of short stories, includes ten pieces which revolve around imaginary insects. Among others, it includes tales in which an immobilized sculptor works for nine years on an invisible dragonfly, an electronic firefly inhabits the handle of an umbrella, and a cloistered nun has luminous visions that become slowly contaminated by a disquieting cockroach.

Author´s biography

Humberto Ballesteros Capasso (Bogotá, 1979). Is an award-winning short story writer and novelist. He has published five books. His novel Razones para destruir una ciudad won the National Novel City of Bogotá Award, and Juego de memoria was shortlisted for the Biblioteca de Narrativa Colombiana Award.
