Summary
Two sisters prepare themselves to say goodbye. The eldest is going to move far away. In fact, they are getting ready to say their good byes as everyone does in life. To do so, they draw, tell each other stories, fall in love, read, play, say goodbye. The author intertwines two stories to talk about emotional bonds both in a fantasy world and real world using fine poetic language.

Author´s biography

Juliana Muñoz Toro. She is a writer, an MFA from the Creative Writing Program in Spanish in New York and a journalist from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá. Her first novel 24 señales para descubrir a un Alien won the International Youth Novel Prize from Tragaluz Publishing, Colombia, in 2016, and was shortlisted for the international White Raven recommendation list. She is also the author of Mi hermana Juana y las ballenas del fin del mundo Planeta, 2017), Los últimos días del hambre (Planeta, 2018), Diario de dos Lunas (Norma, 2018), the translation from Portuguese of the book titled Vamos a comprar un poeta by Afonso Cruz (Panamericana, 2019), A la sombra de un naranjo (Tragaluz, 2020) and El vuelo de las jorobadas (Lazo Libros, 2020). She is a lecturer in the Master’s Degree in Literary Creation at the Universidad Central de Bogotá, gives workshops on children’s literature and is a book critic for El Espectador, where she publishes her fortnightly column Entre líneas (Between the Lines). Her chronicles, profiles and stories have been published in media such as El Malpensante, Esquire Colombia, Diners, Letras Libres de México, among others
