Author´s biography

Mery Yolanda Sánchez (El Guamo, 1956). Mery writes poetry and fiction. Among her books are: La ciudad que me habita (1989), Ritual para las noches (1997), Dios sobra, estorba (2006), Gradaciones (2011), and Un día maíz (2010). She directs “Poesía en escena”, a public poetry-performance project, which won the Ministry of Culture’s 1998 National Fellowship.
