The Noisy March of the Mute
JUAN ÁLVAREZ

Summary
These are not good times to be realistic or to be patriotic because in the Viceroyalty of the New Kingdom of Granada heroes do not last long, especially the mute ones without weapons, like José María Caballero. This novel recreates an era marked by the spirit of independence, but it does so from the echo of civilians and their routines instead of staring at the heroes and their battles.
