Summary
A muisca teenager embarks on a challenging and mysterious initiation journey. In the company of his father’s business partner, the kid navigates the Yuma River to a distant city where, with Sheikh help, he performs a ritual to contact the goddess of water, who will grant him the position of Wave Support, which will make him an official navigator.

Majuy’s Arcane is not just a journey novel, it’s also the immersion in a lost world. This novel tries to recover the pre-Columbian world, taking support in an ambitious investigation complemented with the poetic and literary invention of the author. This book connects the complex social relations established in an archetypal world, where science, knowledge and beliefs get together in an indigenous idiosyncrasy.

Author´s biography

Leonardo A. Archila R. (Bogotá, 1970) Is reader, editor, sailor and writer. Philosopher from the National University of Colombia. Along his life, he has traveled as a pilot in a merchant chip. Ha sido librero, corrector, redactor y director editorial. Leonardo has been editor of the Magazine Conversaciones desde la Soledad and Post-Office Cowboys. He has published short stories and poems in some magazines, philosophy papers and an historic guide of Cartagena de Indias. With almost 30 years of experience, he manage his own editorial project: Piélago Perpetuo.
